I talk about this with classical music - you can’t force someone to love something, it has to happen naturally.
I’m no expert in dating, although I’m pretty rationale when it comes to making decisions. Just move on, you deserve to be with someone who is “Hell Yea” about you. Not just relationships, but everything should be “Hell Yea” from your career, your friends, and everything in your life. If it’s not, or if something is no longer a “10” towards you (or from you) then you have to change it.
I just learned that Quentin Tarantino is like this too when casting actors. Matt Damon once replied to him “I read the script [to Pulp Fiction], I need to sleep on it and I’ll get back to you”. Quentin immediately hung up the phone and said to his manager “HE’S OUT! IF HE’S NOT IMMEDIATELY IN AFTER HE READS IT THEN HE’S OUT!”
When I choose which song to arrange, my ultimate decision comes down to whether I’m crazy passionate about doing it or not. If I’m a 1-9 on my emotions towards the song, then it’s a NO. I only settle for 10’s.
Just surround yourself by only “Hell Yea” and forget all the other noise. It’s either Hell Yea or no”.
