I recently learned through my friend Daniel Lloyd about how Gizmodo thinks the Apple iPad is perfect for sheet music.

Last month I mentioned how Orchestras should use the iPad. I see a world where we have group collaboration with the audience, selling our music through iBookstore and Scorch, and allowing the scores to be easily copied, transfered, MIDI preplayed, and edited together – in the cloud.

But looks like ForScore beat everyone to the punch. They’re the first sheet music app in the iPad store, and if done right, then they’ll be a front runner for a long time. Granted, Sibelius, Finale, Sheet Music Plus, Guitar Center, or anyone else should come out with an App, then that will change the game. But I’ve been saying that for almost a year now. Still, this is awesome.
