Lady Gaga’s music has all the elements of a perfect Orchestral arrangement. The strong dance ‘four on the floor’ beat, memorable melody, synth lines, and more made it a blast a successful arrangement. Making a video promoting this was VERY time consuming… for several reasons. Everything was new to me, plus my computer is optimized for audio, but video is different. Poor software and knowledge made it painstaking. Anyway, enjoy this piece! I hope to do more pieces by her sooooon. Its’ just too fun to arrange her songs for orchestra – I’d like to do ‘Just Dance’ or ‘Love Game’ soon. I have quite a few tricks up my sleeves these next few weeks [lips sealed].
Old school meets new school. This one was interesting because I had a beat that I wanted to place behind it, so I figured I’d give this Pop Culture classic a little edgy remix. Not sure when I’ll do another track like this, but at leaqst I was able to make it work somehow. Yep – this is ANOTHER early arrangement from the Walt Ribeiro archives!
This was one of my earlier arrangements I made. Scott Joplin is more well known for ‘The Entertainer‘ – which is widely popular on piano, but this was a fun one, too! I can hear the ‘amateurish-ness’ of this arrangement – but it is what it is for we all have to start somewhere. The arrangement, production, and even the video is a little off, haha. I’m doing Lady Gaga ‘Poker Face’ next, and so far it sounds pretty good. She’s an amazing songwriter.
The Orchestra Roll. No music library is complete without a Rick Astley arrangement. What I like is how this shows the fantastic composition of the song. No lyrics really make you appreciate the notes, and how the song stands on its own! Whenever I listen to a song I say “Will this sound good for orchestra?” I knew “Never Gonna Give You Up” would.
My name is Walt. I arrange pop songs for orchestra. I've done Lady Gaga, Motley Crue, The Cure, Radiohead, and more. Thanks for stopping by. To purchase mp3's go here. For more info Click Here.
